The Rubbish Whisperer

The rubbish littered streets of Nepal inspired Helen to create The Rubbish Whisperer and design reusable produce bags and compostable straws to help New Zealand live up to its clean green reputation.


After the birth of her first child, Kelly-Jo Sweeney struggled to find a range of affordable and reliable cloth nappies in New Zealand. So, in 2010 she began designing and sewing her own cloth nappies for her growing family, and from there, Nappyneedz was born.

With the help of her three kids, super-mum Kylie Matthews founded, owns, and operates Kai Carrier – a company that manufactures reusable food pouches designed to make feeding on the go easy and waste free.

Baby First is a family owned wholesale business spanning three generations. For over 70 years they have specialized in importing, manufacturing and distributing hundreds of top quality baby products to major and independent baby stores throughout New Zealand.
